Professional Development and eLearning Management System

The eLearning Management System (eLearning) has brought all of the District’s course offerings to one
centralized location enabling instructors to provide a training framework, monitor implementation,
provide feedback, and award in-service credit to participants.

During the FY22 school year, 395 staff were trained as eLearning Instructors to enable them to utilize
the eLearning Management System to provide training to staff. The number of active instructors
who have received training has increased to 2,007 since eLearning’s inception in 2014.

This system ensures that teachers, administrators, and non-instructional staff receive job-embedded
professional development that directly relates to the needs of the instructional job skills. Each
course incorporates evidence of implementation and student growth samples when presented
with instructional strategies. This evidence further allows for evaluating pedagogical strengths and
weaknesses, enabling District and school-based instructors to implement professional development
continuously throughout the year. Furthermore, 33,533 in-service points were made available for
teacher recertification and non-instructional incentives (SEIU/FPSU Incentive Award Program &
        AESOP Educational Incentive Award Program).

a 22-month Master’s Level Program that allows participants to earn a
Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership while completing the District’s
        Aspiring Assistant Principals Program simultaneously.

The ExEq Program provides job-embedded, experiential learning targeting
high-needs schools. Instructors are current District principals and leaders.
