H.E.A.R.T. Service Model
At the beginning of FY23, the Chief Operating Office unveiled the H.E.A.R.T. model. This service model describes how the
Operations Division will conduct itself, including how it will lead, serve, communicate, and operate.
H.E.A.R.T means:
• H is for helpful
• E is for effective
• A is for accountable
• R is for respectful
• T is for team player
Based on this model, all employees within the Operations Division commit to the following five promises:
• We promise to be HELPFUL. We will provide valuable assistance to all stakeholders in a timely, efficient, kind, and
empathetic manner.
• We promise to be EFFECTIVE. We will provide clear, accurate, equitable, and results-driven solutions, guidance, and
support services to all stakeholders.
• We promise to be ACCOUNTABLE. We will hold ourselves responsible for meeting performance goals and objectives
and adhering to their core values.
• We promise to be RESPECTFUL. We will interact and communicate with stakeholders in a manner that shows a
strong regard for their rights, feelings, dignity, wishes, and well-being.
• We promise to be TEAM PLAYERS. We will partner and cooperate with all stakeholders to achieve common goals
and find shared successes.
Historical Significance Preservation
Facilities Management secured a design grant for the renovation of the gymnasium of Historic Roosevelt HS in the amount
of $450,000. Construction and Building Code Services worked together to ensure the design preserves the historic character
and legacy of the past while meeting current building codes, District standards, and the functional needs for the future. The
campus will serve the Adult Education program and other community needs.
