In an effort to lay the groundwork for personalized and blended learning, all principals were
introduced to the TIM in early 2016. To build upon that initial training, the Department of
Educational Technology utilized resources from the FLDOE and partnered with the University
of South Florida to launch a summer 2016 program that offered an in-depth online or
blended training for school and classroom leaders. Over 300 school administrators and lead
teachers were TIM-trained in Palm Beach by TIM experts from the Florida Center for
Instructional Technology at the University of South Florida. Training our school leaders and
instructional staff on the ISTE standards and TIM is an ongoing, multi-year project that will
educate and empower our educators. The emphasis will be on building a community at each
school of dedicated and inspired peer leaders who speak a common language that will allow
deep technology integration into the learning cycle.
