  An application for the collecting and reporting of attendance.
                     An electronic grade book for the calculation, storage, and reporting of grades.
                     Face-to-face or online interactive training opportunities to build skills in in all of these
                       areas.
                     A robust library of online training modules so staff can receive just-in-time training.

               As we prepare students for the kinds of collaborative work they will do in the future
               workforce, many of these same creativity and productivity tools will be used extensively by
               our students. Access to cloud-based file storage and applications that can be accessed from
               anyplace at any time using any device will become the norm for both our staff and our
               students.

               Simplify Access to Digital Resources & High Quality Digital Curriculum

               In a large District, it is especially important to be cognizant of the need for inherently
               complex technology systems to work together in a manner that is as transparent as possible
               to the end user. Ideally parents/guardians, students and teachers should not realize that
               they are moving from one system to another. On that front, work is underway to connect and
               simplify access to District systems such as SIS, Performance Matters, Class Websites and
               Blender through several technologies including IMS Interoperability Standards, Single Sign
               on (SSO), Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI), and Application Program Interfaces
               (APIs).  Additionally, other integrations are being pursued with the ultimate goal of data and
               content flowing seamlessly to users without the need for multiple logins, or by manually
               moving data.

               SDPBC will use technology to help connect teachers and learners with the highest quality
               "Standards Based Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum" to ensure effective and relevant
               instruction and to meet the needs of all students. Teachers will have ready access to a
               searchable digital library of instructional materials that they can actively incorporate into
               their lessons, save for future use, evaluate for their efficacy and success, and report the
               results out to all key stakeholders. Increasingly, students will be provided digitally rich
               instruction and diverse learning pathways using the resources provided by their teachers
               and the District. The new integrations and data pathways will allow students to choose their
               own individual learning pathways with the guidance and support of their teachers.

               Transition to Digital Instructional Materials
               SDPBC provides instructional materials for courses that range from traditional printed
               materials to all digital content.  Currently, most courses have a mixture of both.  Printed
               material like books, workbooks, worksheets, etc. have served as the primary delivery
               mechanism for knowledge to students for well over a century.  With the advancement of
               affordable computing, storage and infrastructure, along with the explosion of the Internet
               and the evolution of print content into digital text, video, and interactive activities not only is
