Provide Teacher Support & Efficient Planning Tools
The effective use of technology tools and services to plan for and deliver instruction, and to
measure the effectiveness of instruction, depends on an integrated technology
infrastructure. It is essential that teachers are provided easy access to the tools and
resources necessary to deliver meaningful, impactful, and efficient instruction in the modern
classroom.
These include:
Reliable high-speed wired and wireless Internet in all instructional spaces.
Consolidated access to key instructional and non-instructional applications and
services via an employee portal, as well as District and school websites.
A comprehensive online suite of productivity tools that can be accessed 24/7 from
anywhere with an Internet connection. Google Apps for Education and Microsoft
Office 365 currently fill this need.
Secure and managed local network file storage as well as cloud storage via Google
and Microsoft.
Video conferencing services and applications for online collaboration and video
conferences.
Cloud-based creative applications integrated with Google Drive.
Software for digitally capturing, editing, and storing video, documents, and images.
School and classroom websites that allow for communication, posting of
assignments, a calendar of events, and an online instructional space where teachers
can provide the ability to upload completed assignments, receive feedback, and
interact with teachers and peers.
Comprehensive student performance data reports and applications for monitoring
and reporting of progress towards meeting grade level expectations.
