         Classroom Configuration:

✓ The School District is taking action to protect the health, safety, and welfare of
students and personnel. Certain measures are needed to reduce the risk of

exposure and spread of COVID-19. Students will be seated six feet apart in

classrooms and common areas, whenever possible. As needs arise to place

additional students in classrooms, schools will follow guidance as outlined by the

CDC and the American Academy of Pediatrics. More information can be found at

            Desk Space & Safety.

         Overflow Rooms:

✓ In the event that the number of students in a classroom cannot meet social
distancing guidelines as outlined by the CDC and the American Academy of

Pediatrics, schools will utilize overflow rooms. Teachers will send students, on

a rotating schedule, to the overflow room when needed. Students in

overflow areas will utilize technology to enable them to participate in the

class. More information can be found at Social Distancing Overflow.

         Simultaneous Teaching:

✓ Due to the number of students who are requesting both distance learning and face to face instruction, the need for teachers to instruct

both, simultaneously, will be established. Teachers will continue to set up Google Meets and Google Classrooms established for those

students in distance learning.  Google Classrooms will also assist students with instructional materials as needed for those students

attending face to face instruction.  In addition, the computer will be used for other technology resources such as curriculum applications

and electronic textbooks. This will assist with the limited interaction of paper materials, while decreasing the risks of potential virus

exposure.  Students physically in the classroom will continue to interact with their teacher during direct instructional times. The District will

provide additional support to teachers and school administrators to maximize the fidelity to this approach.
