Khan Academy provides a personalized learning platform with practice
exercises, instructional videos, and content across subjects like mathematics,
science, and economics, suitable for K-12 and test preparation.
• For Students: Khanmigo AI serves as a virtual tutor, practice partner,
debate coach, and writing assistant, enhancing mastery of new skills,
critical thinking, and communication. Khanmigo offers engaging, on-
topic, and effective learning for students and is designed with safety
and learning as a top priority. With limitless patience, Khanmigo guides
learners to find the answer themselves.

• For Teachers: Khanmigo AI is a teaching assistant that generates lesson
plans, provides feedback, and tracks student progress. It can also be
used to create personalized learning pathways for students. Khanmigo is
designed to make teachers’ roles less about busy work. It simplifies the
creation and customization of quiz questions, assignments, classroom
activities, differentiation, student groupings, lesson hooks, exit tickets,
rubrics, and more.

After a successful pilot,
the District is expanding
the Khan Academy District
(KAD) program, including
Khanmigo AI, to all teachers
and administrators as well
as all middle and high school
students starting in FY25.
This expansion is part of
our ongoing commitment
to leverage innovative
technology solutions
to improve educational
outcomes in the District.
