Strategic Communications & Engagement
During FY23, the Strategic Communications & Engagement Department led the design, production, and marketing of
collateral for numerous initiatives, including Kindergarten Readiness, the 2022 Referendum, employee recruitment, the
District Strategic Plan, District Accreditation, and the modernization of television studios on 14 campuses.
The department also took the lead in transitioning to a new platform for the District website, all 182 school websites, the
HUB, and the District mobile app. The department ensures all platforms comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act
(ADA). Metrics indicate the weekly internal and external electronic newsletters, written by the Communications team and
shared in four languages, also experienced a significant increase in viewership. The department also made gains in growing
the District’s social media platforms while increasing subscribers of the District’s mobile app.
