Objective 2: Ensure all employees are committed to effective practices and
performance expectations centered on students.
Aesthetic Campus Upgrades
Facility renewal projects, funded through the sales tax referendum, successfully address school campuses’ deferred
maintenance requirements. It is equally important to prioritize the aesthetic enhancements of schools, as they greatly
influence students’ pride and confidence in their educational environment. Attractive school buildings also assist with
employee recruitment and retention.
Maintenance and Plant Operations (MPO) vendors have made substantial progress. In FY23, they completed the exterior
painting of 80 schools, with plans to finish the remaining 100 schools over the next two years. MPO is actively painting four
campuses’ interior walls in collaboration with District-approved vendors. Both these programs are expected to continue in
the future.
By prioritizing aesthetic campus upgrades, MPO aims to create a positive and inspiring learning environment for students.
The District recognizes the vital role that physical appearance plays in fostering a sense of pride and ownership among
students, and it remains committed to maintaining and improving the visual appeal of schools.

Assistant Principals Induction Program
The Assistant Principals Induction Program is designed to support new assistant principals
during the first two years of their administrative careers. All assistant principals are
assigned an assistant principal mentor and engage in collaborative support sessions with
their mentors and senior leadership. The FY23 program onboarded and supported 47
newly appointed assistant principals and provided continuous support for 37 second-year
assistant principals.
