                                    EDUCATE | AFFIRM | INSPIRE 129Trauma-Informed and Evidence-Based Schoolwide Mental Health Crisis ResponseThrough the PREPaRE model, the District continues to strengthen proactive, multidisciplinary crisis teams across all school sites by emphasizing psychological trauma prevention and preparedness, reinforcing physical safety and security, and evaluating risk in real time. This tiered approach ensures schools are equipped to provide immediate, targeted interventions and responsive support during critical incidents, while continuously assessing and refining crisis-prevention and response practices to sustain readiness across every campus. School Behavioral Health Professionals The District deployed School Behavioral Health Professionals (SBHPs) across 183 schools. These specialists support mental health teams by providing classroom instruction, facilitating interventions, and connecting families with services. Professional learning focused on BrainSMART%u00ae strategies to strengthen student resilience, metacognition, and problem-solving. The SBHP Summer Institute further reinforced science-based approaches to healthy student development.Table 2Caring First Data for School Behavioral Health Professional ServicesTufts University%u2019s HOPE Framework on Positive Childhood Experiences In FY26, three Department of Behavioral and Mental Health staff members became certified to facilitate Healthy Outcomes from Positive Experiences (HOPE) training. The framework centers on the Four Building Blocks of HOPE, which are key types of positive childhood experiences (PCEs) that all children need to thrive. It guides organizations, communities, and individuals in changing practices, policies, and programming to ensure that all children have equitable access to PCEs. The HOPE training has been provided to all School Behavioral Health Professionals and will expand to additional groups. Annual Student Mental Health and Wellness ConferenceThe 12th annual conference, themed Resilience Through Connection, gathered 351 participants for a full day of learning and collaboration. The event featured a keynote panel, 34 breakout sessions, and a community resource fair. This popular conference strengthened alignment with best practices across the District.
