                                    130 SUPERINTENDENT ANNUAL REPORTSystemic Impact on Student Care and Access Collectively, the District%u2019s coordinated efforts have significantly expanded access to mental health services. By raising awareness, streamlining processes, and expanding partnerships, the District now provides more efficient and equitable pathways to both preventive and clinical care for students. YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AIDUnder Florida State Legislation House Bill 1421, which focuses on school safety, all school districts must annually certify that at least 80% of personnel have received training in youth mental health awareness and assistance. Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA), provided by the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, is the program mandated by the Florida Department of Education.
