Technology Hardware Maintenance Model
District technology equipment is standardized to minimize and manage support complexity and
ensure compatibility with District resources. Devices are purchased with 5-year warranty
coverage. In order to remain up-to-date with the quick pace of changing technology, District IT
staff continually monitor new and existing hardware changes throughout the year to provide
schools with an effective level of modern technology. By leveraging data gathered from the
district’s device management system and ticketing support system, IT can effectively address
issues proactively. In addition, District IT staff are proactively working with manufacturer vendors
to understand the 5-year hardware roadmaps to strategically manage and maintain computing
devices. With all of the information gathered, District IT will be able to better reduce hardware
downtime, provide additional sets of tools necessary for school technicians and enhance user
experience with proactive maintenance services before hardware failures occur.

In addition, the District has invested in Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions to create
consistency for all district-owned mobile devices.

               Change Advisory Board (CAB)

The IT CAB is an important part of the technical support process. IT ensures compliance with
CAB process and procedures to assess, prioritize, authorize and schedule changes to the
production environments based on ITIL best practices.

               Data Center Services

The District Data Center is a 24/7 secure environment that monitors mission critical District
applications, systems, and hardware. IT will continue to operate the Data Center and
modernize equipment and processes as much as possible by adhering to audit compliance and
               security protocol standards
