Student Mental Health and Wellness Conference
Supporting student and family resiliency, mental health, and wellness during challenging times directly
contributes to a positive school climate, individual and family connectedness, academic achievement, and
successful students. The Student Mental Health and Wellness Conference provided a 6 webinar series, with
each session addressing a “kernel of practice” that provides information and strategies that support the well-
being and mental health of students and staff.

The Student Mental Health and Wellness Virtual Conference was implemented through the
collaborative efforts of the Department of Behavioral and Mental Health, the School Counseling
Team, Exceptional Student Education, Safe Schools and with the support of community agency
partners. In addition to the conference, the Department of Behavioral and Mental Health implemented
professional development on a range of topics with a varied audience. Examples include:
