The Operations Division currently utilizes IBM TRIRIGA to effectively manage the work of
departments within the division including Maintenance & Plant Operations, School Food
Service, Planning & Intergovernmental Relations, Transportation Services, Program
Management, Building Code Services, and Environmental Control Services.

IBM TRIRIGA provides the District with a flexible and robust platform that enables better
management and governance of School and Administrative Facilities Work Order Management,
School Space Leasing Administration and Management, Transportation Call Center, Inventory
Management, and Service and Warranty Management. The IBM TRIRIGA solution also
provides powerful analytical and effective performance management tools to track and measure
progress toward District and Division strategic objectives.
Over the next five years, the IWMS team will partner with the Operations Division and School
Police to enhance reporting/data analytics/statistics, improve the user experience (UX),
streamline navigation, and improve overall system performance. These goals will be achieved
through a combination of periodic upgrades, partnering with IBM-preferred vendors, in-house
customizations, and potentially the purchase of a newly offered TRIRIGA reporting module.

               Business Intelligence
Business Intelligence (BI) uses software and services to take raw data and transform it into
usable and actionable insights. These insights can then be used to make strategic planning
decisions. Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI can analyze data and present analytical
findings via custom-built dashboards and reports. These dashboards and reports are typically
composed of graphs, charts, maps, and detailed data about the state of a specific function,
school, department, or District as a whole.

The Transportation Services department uses Power BI to track and gain insight into their
day-to-day operations. Through BI, they see at a glance if buses are on time, if the required staff
has arrived and is ready for assignment, bus repair status, as well as tracking the subjects of
incoming parent calls. During the COVID-19 pandemic, BI was utilized to build dashboards so
school and District leaders and the public could easily see the spread of the virus and
COVID-19 trending data. Other District departments have also leveraged BI to analyze their
               data for better decision-making.
During the life of this Plan, the trend of District departments building dashboards and graphs via
BI tools will continue, with IT providing consultation and technical support. As a result, the
District will become more agile due to enhanced insight into our data.

               eForms
The District’s business processes include extensive use of an enterprise eForms solution. All
20,000+ District employees use the eForms platform to complete and submit academic forms,
Specialized Transportation Requests, Travel Reimbursement Requests, Temporary Duty
Elsewhere (TDE) Requests, Missed Punch Reports, and other common forms. Over the last
few years, there has been a trend to migrate District forms to business-process-specific
software products such as SIS, PeopleSoft, EdPlan, and Ellevation. During the life of this Plan,
that trend will likely continue. However, currently, approximately 300 District forms remain
available as electronic forms via the eForms solution.
