Assess and implement newly required USDA nutritional standards due to the program reauthorization - 2 of 10 years
Effective July 1, 2014, the School District of Palm Beach County implemented the new United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Smart Snacks in School guidelines. These guidelines established nutrition standards for all foods and beverages sold in schools including a lac arte, school stores, vending machines and fundraising. The Department utilized the following methods to communicate the Smart Snacks in School guidelines:
