OneBlood is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) community asset responsible for providing safe, available and affordable blood to more than 200 hospital partners and their patients throughout most of Florida and into parts of South Georgia and Alabama.
OneBlood was established on January 27, 2012 when three of Florida’s independent, not-for-profit blood centers merged. Together, OneBlood brings more than 100 years of lifesaving experience to the community. OneBlood collects nearly one million units of blood annually, employs approximately 2,000 people, operates more than 70 donor centers, and deploys nearly 200 of its signature Big Red Buses throughout its service area for blood drives. Throughout the 2013-2014 school year, OneBlood held blood drives at Palm Beach County Public Schools resulting in a collection of nearly 11,000 pints of blood. Due to the generosity of students, faculty and parents over 33,000 lives were touched by these life-saving donations.
This collaboration allows the students to give back to their community in a personal and profound way. In addition:

Also, CONGRATULATIONS…the BLOOD DRIVE campaign at the School District’s Fulton-Holland Educational Services Center was very successful. OneBlood collaborated with The School District of Palm Beach County’s Wellness Promotion Task Force (WPTF) to educate members of the school community and the public on the importance of wellness and blood donation. Through this outreach BLOOD DRIVE campaign, the District collected a total of 170 pints in the 2013-2014 school year.
We want to say thanks to the heroes from the WPTF meetings that took time during those dates to donate blood and help save lives in Palm Beach County. We were able to reach and exceed the goal of 150 pints! OneBlood participated in all five of the WPTF meetings, set up booths providing information on nutrition and its importance in blood donation.
