The Countywide Community Revitalization Team (CCRT), under the umbrella of the Office of Community Redevelopment, is an advisory board established in 1997 by the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners to coordinate stabilization/revitalization activities for designated residential neighborhoods in unincorporated Palm Beach County. Planning staff represents The School District of Palm Beach County on this committee. Completed projects include infrastructure projects to make neighborhoods safe to live, walk, and play in, by putting in new sidewalks, playgrounds, water and sewer systems, neighborhood parks and improving existing residences. These improvements involve the residents coming out and participating in the projects, therefore taking ownership of the improvements and their neighborhoods, making them a safe and comfortable place to live and play. These types of projects lead to overall wellness not just for the children but for the entire family and involve the parents in the children's daily activities.
