In order to align with the district’s current security structure, we worked with the District’s IT Department to transition WebSmartt from the manager’s desktop computer to virtual servers at each school. We started by selecting one school to pilot the virtual environment, and added 8 more schools the following week. Once the pilot was deemed successful, we transitioned the remaining schools by area completing the implementation by Spring Break.

Redesigned Manager's SharePoint Site

The Technology Team completely redesigned the manager's SharePoint site. By working with the SharePoint administrators in the District's IT Applications Department, the Technology Team learned to create web based Wikis for School Food Service Procedures. The Wikis were developed for each School Food Service procedure and the appropriate forms and other reference information were linked to each procedure. Positive feedback regarding the new structure was received from our School Food Service Managers.

Project Sites

The Technology Team also created several sites on SharePoint to better track, manage and house all documentation pertaining to large projects. This allowed all staff members to upload and review documents and create notes for lessons learned for future planning. Additionally this site provided an audit trail for project timelines, deliverables, and project team members.
