Train staff in safety practices to decrease Workers Compensation claims - ongoing

This school year began with the yearly All Employee Workshop that highlighted ways for employees to be proactive each day when it comes to safety in the kitchen. We worked with the Risk and Benefit Management Department to highlight areas in which our employees needed additional training.

It was recommended that we purchase heavy duty work gloves for employees to use when receiving deliveries and working with products in the cooler and freezer. Several pairs of gloves were purchased for each school and managers will receive them at the beginning of the 2014-2015 school year.
