The OrganWise Guys (OWG) program continues to be a fun and creative way to provide nutrition education. All elementary schools promoted the program through the educational Foods of the Month posters hung within the serving lines. Throughout the year, the administrative office provided support to numerous School Food Service (SFS) managers ​who conducted school-based activities.

The newly renovated Galaxy Elementary launched their digital displays this school year. A complete set of OWG videos were purchased to transform lunch time into educational time. The students look forward to lunch each day as they learn how to take care of their bodies with life-long lessons.

The SFS Department also promotes the program through our website. There is a dedicated page to promote The OrganWise Guys, where monthly educational material is updated. In addition, we were excited to receive permission from the OWG company to include the program in the department's yearly marketing booklet that will be mailed to every student household in the District in August 2014.
