The National School Lunch Program’s Code of Federal Regulations (7 CFR 210), states that the School Food Authority (SFA) shall limit its net cash resources to an amount that does not exceed 3 months average expenditures for its nonprofit school food service. The financial data used to calculate the SFA’s net cash resources should only include National School Lunch program funds and no others (i.e., Summer Food Service Program).

After providing the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) the financial data, it was confirmed on March 14th that The School District of Palm Beach County’s food service account did not have excess net cash resources for the 2011-2012 school year.
