Wellness Rewards Program
Provide training and communications to School Food Service Employees.
Each year employees are eligible to receive a $600 medical plan premium discount by completing the Wellness Rewards Program. The insured and their covered spouse/domestic partner need to each earn 300 points to be eligible for the discount. To earn the 300 points you must complete the following activities.
- default_titleComplete a Biometric Screening which includes a Total Cholesterol, HDL, LDL and Fasting Glucose. These screenings must be processed by LabCorp. (100 points)
- default_titleComplete a CONFIDENTIAL online Health Assessment. (100 points)
- default_titleComplete one additional preventative action, from the following. (100 points)

Communication is Key
Benefits Buzz
The District sends out a monthly newsletter called Benefits Buzz that gives updates and reminders regarding the program to all employees. School Food Service followed up with an email to Food Service Managers and Office Staff re-emphasizing the details of the program.
The Wellness Rewards Program was discussed at School Food Services Quarterly Inservice Meetings. At our November and February meetings, Marilyn Boursiquot, Benefits Manager from the Risk & Benefits Management Department of the district spoke to our Managers and included time for Q & A
The Wellness Rewards Program was the topic for the March Professional Development Day Training. At this training the manager provides each employee with a Personal Wellness Planner explaining the program and had each employee sign off on an Employee Acknowledgement Form to affirm that they received the Personal Wellness Planner and understood what their requirements were to qualify for the rewards.
The School Food Service Department is dedicated to providing support and assistance to ALL Food Service Employees with the Wellness Rewards Program as well as all aspects of their Benefits Program.
