Ensure a qualified and highly-effective workforce through professional development and succession planning/training for staff - ongoing

The Professional Development and Technology Teams established a list in our SFS SharePoint site to log all training programs in which the office staff participated. We:

Additionally, we assisted the SFS Equipment and Facilities Team to develop a Vodcast video (see below) to train cafeteria staff on the proper use of the dish room pulper; information and a link to the training video was sent to the managers to view for PDD training.

With a vision of putting “Kid’s First” the Best School Food Service in the Country, School Food Service must be proactive in it’s training. Providing professional development opportunities increased our ability to maintain a qualified staff and to continue to provide excellent customer service.
