A Fantastic, Everyday System

During the 2011-2012 school year we began to pilot a new flatware dispenser program to determine its acceptability in schools. It was our belief that flatware would be more appealing to the students as opposed to the traditional spork kit currently offered.

After piloting in four schools and receiving positive feedback in the 2012-2013 school year, we began the process to expand to some high schools. A survey was developed to determine school needs and we worked with our main line vendor and the dispenser company to coordinate the ordering of the dispensers.

The equipment has been delivered to all high schools in May 2013 for use at the start of the new school year. The program will be evaluated in December of 2013 to determine our next steps.
